We had just gotten back into Fort Lauderdale from Austin and were looking somewhere to eat before the drive back home. A quick search of restaurants on Yelp brought up this highly rated Peruvian spot. When we arrived it was small and unassuming (which actually made me more excited to give it a try.)

I ordered an Inca Cola and we started our meal off with Kausa Rellena de Pollo. I've never tried the dish before. It was stacked high like a piece of art. I carefully took each forkful trying not to knock it down. The flavors were lively and not what i expected. The smooth flavor and texture of the chicken was something i'd never experienced before.

For my main course I had Tallarín verdes con lomo. I really enjoy the two dishes separately but had never had them together before. I'm glad I gave it a try. The beef was tender and the vegetables where cooked enough to still be thick with flavor. The pesto sauce was very aromatic and you could smell a hint of fresh cracked garlic. I really enjoyed everything about this dish. I look forward to coming back here next time I visit the area.

I ordered the causa de pollo as an appetizers and the ceviche en salsa de aji3 Amarillo. The service was terrible. It took 4 tries to get straws for my water. It took 1 hr to get napkins. It took about 1 to get our food. The cook (guessing owner as well) came out to apologize to the restaurant's patrons since there were too many orders and she was backed up. My causa was good. The ceviche was not. I am was not impressed. I asked my fellow restaurant goers how their food was and they said their lomo salteado was good. The ceviche mixto was just alright. The party of six came to a consensus that a 3 out of 5 was a fair rating.
